Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies can allow a service to maintain a signed-in session, provide secure functionality, remember technical information and understand how the service is used.

Cookies set through PitchSense domains are first-party cookies, even where the underlying technology is provided by a service provider such as Supabase or PostHog.

PitchSense currently uses cookies for two purposes:

1. Strictly necessary cookies used to authenticate users, maintain signed-in sessions and validate access to the logged-in PitchSense application.
2. Analytics and product-improvement cookies used through PostHog for product analytics, feature flags, error tracking, session replay, heatmaps, surveys, performance and network monitoring, and automatic capture of page views, clicks and navigation.

PitchSense does not currently use cookies for advertising, retargeting or cross-site behavioural marketing.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for authentication, session continuity and secure access to the logged-in application. Disabling them may prevent you from signing in or using authenticated features.

The Supabase authentication cookies are used only in the logged-in application. PitchSense does not offer a separate "Remember me" option, but the authenticated session persists after the browser is closed and reopened. The authentication cookies are deleted when the user logs out.

Analytics and product-improvement cookies

These cookies support product analytics and help PitchSense diagnose errors, assess feature usage and improve the user experience.

The exact PostHog cookie name includes the relevant PostHog project token and may change if PitchSense changes its PostHog project or technical configuration.

The expiry of a browser cookie is separate from the retention of data collected through the cookie:

• Product analytics data is retained for 12 months.
• Session replay recordings are retained for 30 days.
• All visible text is masked in session replay recordings.
• Session replay does not record roleplay audio.

PitchSense does not currently use:

• Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
• Microsoft Clarity.
• HubSpot, Intercom or another support-chat tracker.
• Calendly or another embedded booking widget.
• Embedded YouTube or Vimeo tracking.
• Advertising or retargeting pixels.
• Cloudflare cookies.
• Local storage or session storage for analytics or tracking.

If PitchSense introduces a new cookie or similar technology, this policy will be updated.

PitchSense does not currently provide an in-product cookie preference centre or "Cookie Settings" link.

You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Browser controls vary, but are generally available in the privacy or security settings of your browser.

Blocking or deleting strictly necessary authentication cookies may sign you out or prevent access to the logged-in application. Blocking PostHog cookies may reduce PitchSense's ability to diagnose technical issues and understand feature usage, but should not prevent basic authentication.

PitchSense may use server-side logs and technical events for security, reliability, fraud prevention and service administration. These technologies may not store information directly on your browser and are described in the PitchSense Privacy & Personal Data Notice.

PitchSense does not currently use web beacons, advertising pixels or similar technologies for targeted advertising.

PitchSense may update this Cookie Policy when its services, cookie configuration, providers or legal obligations change.

The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated. Material changes may also be communicated through the service, by email or through the relevant customer organisation where appropriate.
